Michele has bought some Christmas decorations.
Here are some of them.

Meanwhile, I put in some insole in my winter boots and duck shoes. They are just a little too big for me. I will try them in the next few days.

It started to snow at the end of the day.

Wednesday, December 2, 2020

We took a long walk this morning. My boots are great now.

We are going to Jannie and Jan's place for supper. Our friends Millie and Dean will also be there.
We are bringing the dessert, a poor's man dessert.

As usual, Jannie prepared a simple but oh so good meal.

As I mentioned before, all four of them are in our "bubble." We all really keep track of the people we visit.
We had a lot of fun.

A few more photos of Natasha, look at that smile!

She is one happy little girl.

Michele is gone for some groceries. I am fixing one of the blinds from the sunroom. One of the strings is broken.

All done, and it works!

Just a normal day.

Friday, December 4, 2020

We woke up to rain. It lasted all day. We may even have some snow later on.

I received these two photos from Kristin. It is pretty embarrassing for Jeremy!
For his defence, he said the car slid in the ditch. He did not drive in the ditch. Kristin said he lost his driving privilege for the Audi!!!

Michele is preparing a homemade pizza.

It looks good.

I almost forgot to take a photo of the pizza after cooking. It is really good.

A quiet day at home.
Some photos that we received from Kristin.

They went to see Santa at the mall (all local precautions were in place for COVID) in Moose Jaw.
This is the first time she sees Santa. She is more curious than scared.

What a nice family.

And our grandson, Gabriel, who is at her mom's place in Alberta. He will be spending Christmas with Jeremy this year.

It was a quiet day at home.

Happy Birthday, Michele, always 29 years old!

We have invited Jannie and Jan for supper to celebrate Michel's birthday.
Jannie and Jan gave this Christmas decoration to Michele. Jannie made it herself.

The house is equipped with a nice water filter system. It has developed a leak. This is an expensive system, so I did not touch it. Jannie and Jan take a look at it, they will call someone to come and fix it.

Michele prepared her favourite meal, spaghetti.

What do we do after the meal, a Tequila shooter!
First, lick the salt from the hand and then drink the tequila.

Followed by bitting the lemon.

And finish by making a lemon face.

We needed to move after the big meal and shooter. It is time to play WII Bowling.

After two good games of bowling, one more shooter...
The salt.

The tequila.

And the lemon. Jan is not drinking because he is the designated driver.

After the bowling, we played the boardgames, the "a"MAZE" ing "LABYRINTH." The four of us love this game.

After Jannie and Jan left, Michele wanted one more tequila before bedtime.

And this happen!

What a nice photo of Kristin and Natasha.

Michele had a great birthday.

We went out for a walk in the afternoon. Today is one of the coldest days so far, about -5° C.

The ice on the small bay by the house is frozen. It looks like a mirror.

Boys will be boys. I had to throw something on the ice to see how far it would go.

The arrow points to where the ice ends.

Ice here too.

The view from the bay. On the right, our home resting for the winter and on the left, our temporary home for the winter.

Another cold night, but we have a sunny sky this morning.

Michele and I went for a walk. This time, we walk to Jan and Jannie's place to check out the new garden shed they bought.
This is one of the machines Hydro One is using to install the hydro poles for the electricity upgrade for the RV Park.

From our house to their house, it is about 3.5 km there and back.
It turns out they are not home! We still check out the new garden shed.
It is very well built. It was bought from the local Amish.

It was a nice walk.

A rainy day, boring!

Thursday, December 10, 2020

Since we are going to Belleville, we decided to start the process for the warranty for our new sofa at The Brick. It turns out we have to do this online! As you can see, the two end backs are further back than the center one.

On our way out of the RV Park, we saw the Hydro One crews working on the installation of the power poles.

I received a text msg from Jan. he is arriving at the shop with the new Kubota. Michele and I went right away to check it out. WOW.

We received this nice photo of Jeremy, Kristin and Natasha with Santa and a Snowbirds aircraft.

Friday, December 11, 2020

I woke up before the sun was up. This is what I saw.

Later on in the afternoon, I went for a long walk.
Guess what is the name of the road I am on?
Pigtail Corner Road!

The Murray Canal, there are no more boaters this time of year.

On the left photo, the water level at this time and on the right photo, the water level on May 19, 2020. What a difference!

Nothing beats a nap in the late afternoon!

Our Natasha.

Saturday, December 12, 2020

I skyped with Jeremy and Natasha this morning.
It is always fun to Skype with them.

We are having supper at Jannie and Jan's place.
Jan got his hairdo done before the meal.

After the meal, which was very good, we play a Dutch game, Sjoelbak or Dutch Shuffleboard.
Jan is wearing a helmet. He must be scare of Michele! We had tonnes of fun.

Some dark clouds are coming this morning.

Michele found these toys for cheap on FB. They are for Natasha. They will stay in the MH.

Look at the rosy cheeks on Natasha. It was -18° C this morning in Moose Jaw, SK.

Monday, December 14, 2020

It is a gloomy day today. Temperature-wise, +3° C during the day and -7° C for tonight.

The best toys for a kid.

Michele has made some purchases from Market Place. We are on our way to pick them up.
We leave home after supper. We have no snow flurries.
Five kilometres later, we are in a blizzard! Two kilometres later, back on dry pavement!!
On our way back, no snow is falling from the sky. This is what we call lake effect snow squall.

Tuesday, December 15, 2020

I am visiting my friend, Dave. He is also a fulltimer. He lives alone with his dog. Just like us, he had to find a place for the winter due to COVID.
He found an apartment fully furnished for the winter.

He is like most of us, he wants to go out of the house any chance he can get. So we went to the old Canadian Forces Base Picton near town.
We toured the old base, very interesting.

We went back to town after the tour of the base. We stopped at the local 555 Brewing Co. to sample their beers.
We talked about anything and everything. The beer was good, so was the company. The brewery followed the rules regarding the COVID at the time.

Until next time.

Life is good...
