The day starts nicely with a photo of Natasha from Kristin and Jeremy.

Anxiously waiting for the phone call from my cardiologist. I do some more stuff around the MH before we leave tomorrow morning.

We skyped with Benoit.

I received the call from my doctor at 1 pm. All is good health-wise, just a minor adjustment of medication. He said we can travel to Saskatchewan for the summer, no problems. YES!
I dropped by his office to pick up my prescription. Next, I dropped off the prescription at our pharmacy located at No Frills grocery store. 15 minutes later, we walk out of the store with the new pills, we can travel now!

We are having supper at Jannie and Jan's place. We are celebrating their wedding anniversary with pizza.
Tomorrow morning, we will be travelling  west.

Wednesday, June 17, 2020

We are excited to leave. The car is hooked up to the MH, ready now.

We said our goodbyes before leaving. A big thank you to Jannie and Jan for their hospitality. They are true friends. Patricia came by to say goodbye. We will see you, probably, in September or October.

We are taking highway 11 to cross Ontario. Nice roads with light traffic.

Our destination is New Liskard, Ontario. We can stay overnight at the local Walmart. It is very hot today, +30° C.

Natasha cannot wait to see us. It has pushed her into drinking and donuts.

The road is really nice.

Our home for the night. The Walmart in New Liskard.

Usually, we take our time to travel west, but with this COVID-19, we are driving longer hours per day to get to Moose Jaw fast. Today was an almost 600 km day.

We filled up the MH just as we left Trenton.

Thursday, June 18, 2020

We are back on the road just before 7 am. We did not have a good night of sleep. This place was busy with transport trucks all night long. The signal lights were constantly changing making the trucks stop for no reason.

We are surprised by the number of bridges being rebuilt or have a new one built next to it.

We had to stop for gas in Cochrane. We chose Canadian Tire because we can get Canadian Tire money with our credit card. Our MH has a 300 litres tank. We put in 295 litres this time. It was time!

It was still a very hot day with +30° C. The roads were very good.

But in Saskatchewan, it was on the cold side!

A quick photo before my afternoon nap.

Nothing like a 15 minutes nap to continue the trip.

Our next home is in Longlac. We did not contact our friends who live here. With this COVID-19, we want them and us to stay safe.

A little more than 600 km for us today.

Friday, June 19, 2020

Another bad night of sleep. Trucks parked near us and some of them had refrigerator going all night. Noisy!
Since it is still very hot, they had their generator running all night too. More noise!
Can we complain? No, it is free after all.
On our way to Thunder Bay. Sasquatch lives here.

The blue tongue man.

A snowman in June!

Natasha turns 5 months old today. She sure changed a lot.

We usually fuel up at the Indian Reserve in Nipigon, but with the COVID-19, they are closed to outsiders. Good, they are protecting themselves. We will fuel up at Flying J in Thunder Bay.
The beautiful bridge in Nipigon.

Our next night was in Vermillion Bay, in a weight station. A few trucks spent the night here, but it was mostly quiet.

One big, long day. We covered 680 km today.

Saturday, June 20, 2020

It was a better night for sleeping.

Natasha has a tooth pocking out, her first.

The temperatures started to drop yesterday afternoon.
We got rain shortly after we left.

It was under heavy rain that we crossed into Manitoba.

An hour later, the rain was gone.

We stopped for lunch and gasoline at the Winnipeg Flying J.

Why not another nap after lunch?

Coming out of Winnipeg, we saw these clouds.

We drove in between the two thunderstorm cells. We only had a little rain.

One more 600+ km day.

Soon after we left Winnipeg, the wind shifted to the west, we had it in our face the rest of the day. Not good for the gas millage.

We are spending the night in the small town of Elkhorn, Manitoba.

Sunday, June 21, 2020

We both had a great night of sleep.

We left a little later today. We do not have to drive as many kilometers as in the previous days to get to Jeremy and Kristin's place.
Saskatchewan, here we come.

Next, Regina.

For the first time, we can use the "Regina By-pass". What a nice road and no traffic.

And Moose Jaw, with its dump in the background...

Next, the road to the base (15 wing).

We arrived after lunch. We finally can hold our grand-daughter, Natasha. It is great to see Kristin, Jeremy and Natasha. Gabriel will arrive on June 30th.

This was the shortest day of the trip. Only 335 km today.

How many kilometers since we left Trenton?

Now our summer starts...

Monday, June 22, 2020

I am going to start with a notice.
For the next two months, or more, we will be at Jeremy, Kristin and our two grandkids, Gabriel and Natasha's place. Because of COVID-19, we may or may not be able to go camping. Enjoy.

Today, I am replacing our water filters. Next, I will be fixing our freshwater hoses.

Our water hoses are over 6 years old if I remember right. Two of our smaller lengths of hoses split. I use our last long hose to make two or three short ones again. It is always useful to have some shorter length hoses. I will buy a new freshwater hose next time I go to the store.

It is time to take the bikes out of the car.

It is hot and sunny today. We spent part of the afternoon sitting outside on the front porch. John, Kristin's dad, came by for a visit.

We handed Kristin and Jeremy the gift from Jannie and Jan. I really nice outfits.

Natasha loves her jumper. Outdoor or indoor.

Grand Maman enjoying herself!

Over the winter, Jeremy has done some repairs to his outboard motor. He is filling the bottom end of the outboard motor with oil now.

He tries the motor in the "barrel" of water. It is not running very well at idle. It has nothing to do with the repair he did this winter.

One more project for me. I always wanted to know exactly how much water was in the freshwater tank.
I measured exactly 25 liters in a water jug. Then, I transferred that water from the water jug to the freshwater tank in the MH.

At each 25 litres (5.5 Canadian gallons or 6.6 US gallons), I made a mark on the freshwater tank. The freshwater tank in the MH contains a little over 250 litres or 55 Canadian gallons or 66 US gallons.

Our beautiful Natasha. She is a very good baby.

More projects. While we were at Jannie and Jan's place, I had to take two sewer hoses to make a long extension to reach the sewer connection. I am making this sewer hose back as two sewer hoses. But! I will be able to use those two hoses as extensions too.

Natasha with Jannie and Jan's outfits.

We went for a walk with the stroller. Natasha is not too keen on the stroller thing right now.

The temperature is in the 30s today. Natasha is enjoying an outdoor pool. She loves it.

Kristin and Jeremy bought an Audi Q5 2018 new a little while ago. Yes, a 2018 new.

This is the spare tire in the Audi. A full-size spare tire, but it is a collapsed and deflated. Weird.

Thursday, June 25, 2020

Our sofa with a broken piece.

The broken piece is the plastic handle to release the reclining seat. The Brick, where we purchased it, will replace it at no cost.
One problem is that I somehow misplaced the bill of sale!!! I wrote an email to The Brick Store here in Moose Jaw explaining the problem with the sofa and with me losing the bill of sale. More to follow.

Natasha making faces.

Natasha can roll from her back to her front, but not the reverse. She is working on it.

Friday, June 26, 2020

With the high humidity of the last few days, Michele's hair is curling. After an appointment with the hairdresser, problem solved.

Natasha is one very happy little girl. She loves standing up. She is very curious.

Pool time on this hot day.

Two very happy Grand Parents.

Me, making myself skinny.

Saturday, June 27, 2020

It is hot again this morning. Jeremy decided to go and try the outboard motor this morning. We are going to Buffalo Pound.
A very nice boat launch.

The motor starts right away. Off we go!

A very nice lake/reservoir, but the blue/green algae are back already. The water is turning green.

Grand Maman having fun with Natasha. And me at work in the background!!!

Natasha.

This is the first time Natasha eats green peas. She is not sure if she likes it or not. She thinks it is OK.

It cooled off today. We spent the afternoon in the shade on the front porch. As for myself, I just finished washing the front of the MH. It was very dirty from our travel from Ontario to Moose Jaw. I will wash the rest of the MH another day.

Second try with the green peas. It is OK, a little.

Natasha is one lucky little girl, she has parents who love her very much.

Me, just happy!

Sunday, June 28, 2020

The nights a cool, very nice for sleeping. We had rain most of the night.

Kristin, Jeremy and Natasha are going to a birthday party for a little two years old girl.

While Michele is busy in the house, I tackled another project.
We always had a hard time locking our front windows with the plastic lock. We were worried we might break them.

The hole where the cam from the lock goes into to lock is too small.

This is the cam.

The simplest solution is to make it thinner.

Once that was done on both locks, they work great now.

One more project for today.
If you remember, when we travel I usually install a voltmeter to monitor the voltage on our house batteries. Not pretty, but it worked.

To fix this, last year I asked Jeremy to order me a voltmeter out of China to make it permanent. It came in after we left for Ontario. I just installed it. This is how it looks now. Very nice.

Back from the birthday party, Kristin, Jeremy and Natasha were very tired. They had a good time. Natasha had a hard time staying awake and eat.

A very good week.

Monday, June 29, 2020

Our two beautiful girls.

Kristin and Jeremy and resting and Gabriel is gone to play with a friend. Michele with Natasha, both of them are napping.

So that Natasha does not wiggle and falls off, Michele raises her legs.

Natasha is trying Clementine for the first time. She loves it.

Natasha at the spa getting her nails done.

One thing I can tell you, she sure gets moved around. She loves it.

Tuesday, June 30, 2020

Gabriel will be here today. Kristin and Jeremy are going to pick him up in Saskatoon.

Michele is now busy with Natasha. So, after looking at many videos on YouTube about the problem with the Two-Haul feature on our Ford Chassis (MH) transmission, I will take it apart and see what could be the problem. It does not work anymore.

I do exactly what the videos told me to do. I access the shifter lever on the steering column. I found the cause of the problem. I also forgot to take a photo of the problem... It is the wire coming out of the shifter lever that got pinched and finally broke in a few places. Jeremy should be able to fix the wires this evening.

Meanwhile, Natasha is getting her diaper changed. NO! Not on the face!

Not on the head!

That is better. One happy little girl.

We received a photo from Kristin. They are on their way back and Gabriel is sound asleep.

There he is!

Gabriel gives his dad his father's day gift.

Everyone is watching Gabriel giving a hand to his dad in changing the line on one of his reels.

We are all happy to have Gabriel. He will be us for the next two months.

Until next time.

Stay safe & Stay healthy.

Life is good...
