Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Jeremy got up early to go fishing. He caught this fish.

After fishing, Jeremy came to pick up Natasha, She gave her father his Father's Day Card.

The trailer is sure quiet when Natasha is gone.

Michele and I went for a walk to Point Holmes.
Who are these three people?

Just some birds who look like they are cold.

Michele is at the house looking after Natasha while Jeremy is working evening shift tonight.

Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Michele and I are looking after Natasha again since Jeremy is working evening again.
Michele had her appointment with the doctor today. It was to get an X-ray done for her neck as required by the physio.
No problems the doctor said. Off to the hospital we go. Everything went well and we are out in less than an hour.
Everyone in the hospital seems to be very happy working there.

We had mentioned to Natasha about making some homemade lemonade. She asked to make some.
We had bought some lemons earlier.
We had to explain the lemonade was not ready right away. We would have to wait a few hours for the lemon to release its juice in the water.

Grand-maman is at the spa!
She had to choose her makeup.

Natasha loves doing this.

This is a full service.

She double checking her work!

Showing off Natasha's work.

Time for the playground after a good supper.

You have to play with the bus.

Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

It is not a windy day and Jeremy is not working. Time to go fishing at Point Holmes.
I caught two cod in less than 20 minutes. The remainder of the time, nothing.

Jeremy is making fun of me as I caught some "salad".

I have the American plan for fishing.
What this means is:
Jeremy supplies all the equipment.
Unhook the fish.
Clean the fish.
I am very lucky.

We will eat the fish tomorrow for lunch. Jeremy will even cook it for us!

Grand-maman cannot take the fingerprints on the glass in the window. She hires Natasha to give her a hand cleaning it.

After lunch, we went back home at the campground. We even had a nice propane campfire in the evening.

Thursday, June 20, 2024.

We are on our way to Jeremy's place for the cod lunch.
This is the first time we saw so many commercial fishing boats at Point Holmes.

The chef in action.

It was a great meal of cod. It tasted real good.

Jeremy confirmed he is working the early shift tomorrow morning. He will be starting at 0530 h in the morning.
Michele went to Jeremy's place right after supper time. She will spend the night there so she can be with Natasha in the morning before daycare.

Friday, June 21, 2024.

Kristin being on course is starting to show on Natasha's behavior. Especially in the evening.

But in the morning, she is always happy.

Michele is back at the campground by 0830 h.

Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Jeremy texted me early in the morning to see if I wanted to go for a car ride and maybe some fishing at Wolf Lake.
Why not? Natasha is with us.
When we got to the lake, it was calm, no wind.

By the time we got our gear ready for fishing, the wind picked up at more than 10 km/h.

Jeremy caught a cutthroat trout, but we did not keep it.
Natasha is helping her dad.

Natasha did not fish a lot, but she is very busy.
Somehow, she found a golf ball!

It is a beautiful lake. We will come back with the boat.

Jeremy invites us for supper. We are having chicken burgers.
The wind increases all day.
It is high tide and with the winds, the waves are going very high on the beach.
Today's photo vs. a few days ago at low tide,

Same thing.

The tide today is 16 feet, or 4 meters.

The boat launch.

It looks like it is snowing high in the mountains.

Jeremy sent us a photo of Natasha playing in the water.

It was a good day.

Sunday, June 23, 2024.

Yesterday, Jeremy bought a sun umbrella for his patio.
He assembled it with Natasha's help this morning.

Jeremy, Natasha and I went for a walk at Nymph Falls.
Michele stayed at home, her neck is really hurting her.

For some reasons, we always have to get closer to water.
Even if it may be hard to get there.

Jeremy and Natasha said the water is very cold.

This rock has something special.

It is a farting rock. Natasha thinks it is funny.

It is too bad the water is so cold, we could have sat in this pool at the bottom of the falls.

Strong little girl.

After the walk, I went home. Jeremy and Natasha went to the pool after her nap.
She always makes funny faces.

Another great day with people you love.

Monday, June 24, 2024

Jeremy and I went fishing at the Kitty Coleman Provincial Park.
Kitty Coleman P.P. is about 20 minutes from Jeremy's place.
We have travelled about 16 km on the water. As you can see by the lines on the photos, we spent a lot of time at the same spot. Salmons were biting like crazy.

We caught 5 coho salmon and two chinook.

Jeremy was giving me his rod to bring in the salmon because he was busy looking after the downrigger and keeping the boat in a straight line. After bringing in 4 or 5 salmons from 100 feet down with 200 feet of line, I was tired.

Surprise, we even caught a "dogfish" shark.

I managed to "make" a bird's nest.

We had a fun day on the water.
Sadly, we could not keep any salmons today.

Dirty hands!

Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

We only have an appointment at Beltone today. It is our initial appointment for hearing aids in BC.

It is warm and it looks like it will rain, but I still had a fire before the rain.

I think Natasha will be an expensive girl later in life. She loves jewelry.

She loves peaches.

Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Early this morning, the rain started and keep going all day.
I take some of our stuff to Jeremy's house.
Why?
We do have our site until Monday, 11 am. But, Monday being Canada's birthday, We do not know if Ed would be able to move our trailer to Jeremy's place that day.
I contacted Ed and asked him which day would be best for him to move our trailer. He offered to move the trailer Sunday around 10 ish. This works for us. This is the reason why I am moving stuff from our campsite to Jeremy's house.

Michele has her appointment at the physio this afternoon. Things are getting better with her neck, but not great yet.
Next door to the physio place, I saw a clinic for orthotics for Michele.
We drop by to book an appointment. It turns out they have a cancellation tomorrow at 11 am. We took it.

Jeremy is working evening again today and tomorrow.
We take Natasha with us for the night. Tomorrow, she will sleep at her house.
She loves coming here. The toys are different than home. She is spoiled too!

While she is waiting for supper.

For some reason, we always run out of time when it comes to put her to bed!

And the rain keeps on falling.

Thursday, June 27, 2024.

June 27, 2010, we started our life on the road. We have no regrets. Sure, we may not travel as much now with the purchase of the 5th wheel in Yuma. It is just a new chapter in our life. This was day one of our new life, click here to read about it.

It is a busy morning because Natasha woke up later than usual.
We still found time for a hug.

Michele had her first appointment at the orthotics office. I went well, other than having to bother our family doctor for a prescription for orthotics for Michele. Even if the Veretens already have a prescription from our doctor in Ontario. British Columbia is very different than any of the other provinces. What a waste of time for the doctor and everyone involved.

Jeremy is working this evening. Michele is looking after Natasha at home.
She wanted to play at the "Blue Park", which is further away from home and not at the "Red Park", next to the house.

She loves ladybugs.

She is checking the flower in the flower bed in the front lawn.

This is a kids perfect meal, Kraft Dinner.

Jeremy got off work at 23 h.

Friday, June 28, 2024.

There is no wind this morning. Jeremy contacted me to go fishing.
We are back at Kitty Coleman. We caught many salmons, but they were all wild cohos. We can only keep the hatchery one.
We still got two of those.

How do you know the difference between the two?
Fin or no fin.

Ours are from the hatchery.

Jeremy is really good at filleting the salmons We will have some for supper tonight.

But before going to Jeremy for supper, I decided to remove the bees nest from our vent cover on the trailer.
The nest is in between the vent cover and the Max Air covering the vent. It is a small nest still. I use the garden hose to blast it away hoping no bees come after me.
The bees are stunted, I can take care of it.

We are back at Jeremy's place to eat the salmon.

Natasha is giving thumbs down, she is just showing the band-aid on her thumb.

It was a great meal.

Natasha is being spoiled. Grand-maman is massaging/scratching her back,

Before she gets her bath, Natasha plays in the water with the sprinkler. She is so cold, she wore her rain jacket on top of her bathing suit.

On our way back home we saw this doe with her two little one.

Jeremy sent us this photo of him and Natasha at the fire on the back patio.

Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Another rainy day.
We decided to check out some thrift stores a little out of the way.
In one of them, mostly an estate liquidation place, I found those two fishing reels. The bran is Pen and they are old, but in good conditions. I got them for only $5 each.

Jeremy and I were talking about always missing the 10 mm socket. I guess even at the second hand store, the 10 mm socket is rare.

Humm, no bathing suit, a life jacket and a pool noodle. She is ready for combat with the sprinkler.

Sunday, June 30, 2024.

We are moving today. We are going to Jeremy's driveway for the next two months.
We are ready for the move. We are only waiting for Ed to arrive.

The move went very well. Ed is very good. He is worth the money we pay him.

Natasha is very happy to have us close by.
She is showing her work gloves and pliers.

Jeremy goes fishing with Mike and Nicole this afternoon. Natasha is napping with grand-maman in the trailer.

We are weeding the flower bed.

We play with the frisbee.

She does some coloring with grand-maman.

The front yard is ready for Canada Day tomorrow.

We are very happy to be at Jeremy's place. This will be a little easier while Kristin is away on course.

Until next time.

Life is good...
